Google News Incorporates Latest Quotes

Quote Speech Bubble

Search for a person in Google News and the latest quote is sourced (mostly from newspapers) and put into a speech bubble at the top. (Clearly, I’m still continuing with my Kevin Spacey theme, but also works for Paris Hilton and David Cameron).

Interestingly, clicking on the ‘more by’ link takes you to a chronologically organised page of quotes by that person from various newspaper sources. This is again useful for research purposes, trying to find a particular quote you read a few months ago or just tracking Bushisms.

With the David Cameron example, it can provide a nice snapshot in one line of news about the person.

Limitation – it’s all well and good going to the quote page but you can’t always tell what the quote refers to:
